The first day of our trip, we stayed in a retreat at Lake of the Ozarks and did some fishing. This is Shane lounging in the retreat.

Then, we headed to the area around Bat Cave. This is a nearby cliff looking left. This is the same cliff looking right.

Again, the same cliff looking down.  Mike and Shane rest under a natural bridge nearby.

Farther past the natural bridge, is a small cave we explored. This is the goal of the weekend.

Another pic of Bat Cave. Bat Cave entrance again.

Standing about 40ft below the opening this is looking straight up. Rappelling about 150ft trying to get into the cave.  (The white dot in the center of the image is Mike standing on the ground.) The bottom lip of the cave is on the right, about 50ft from straight down. There is also a large tree directly below me.

While hanging in the same spot as above, this is looking into the cave. The small tree and big boulder on the floor in the image will come in great use on the next trip. We ran out of time before we got into the cave. It won this battle, but we will win the war. We'll be back!
